You might remember when I talked about The Roth IRA Movement {stay focused…I don’t want to lose you just yet}?
Well, my husband is now starting another movement…only this time it has nothing to do with the Roth IRA {go ahead a give a big sigh of relief}. I do promise more dancing from him too.
When: Wednesday, August 22nd
Did you just nod off??? Smack! Smack!
Stay the hike awake {ESPECIALLY ALL THE STOP & SMELL THE ROSES VLOGGERS}…I promise there are some HUGE prizes to be had!
The purpose of this movement is to bring awareness to the importance of life insurance. Sounds boring, but I can not tell you how many families my husband encounters who would be completely up a creek if their spouse died tomorrow.
So…here is where YOU come in to play. First, let’s talk about what’s in it for you {because really, we all want to get something in return for our favor right?}
In hopes of attracting more bloggers and non-bloggers to participate, he has recruited some great sponsors to give you some incentive! Check out who’s involved and what’s at stake…
- Bankrate.com: Brand new iPad <<<—-Holla!
- InsuranceQuotes.com: Google Nexus
- LifeInsuranceByJeff.com (that’s my hubby!) : Brand new Amazon Kindle
- Life Foundation (LifeHappens.org): Dr. Dre Beats Pro headphones and $100 Amazon gift card for music.
YES, you could win those awesome prizes! Are you interested yet? Here are some details on all you have to do to be included {it’s super easy – pinky promise}:
- 25 Entries for filming a video about the importance of life insurance.
- 10 entries for blogging about the movement.
- 10 entries for every 5 people you refer to the movement (you can use any way to refer them)
- 3 Votes for Repinning our image (picture will be live the day of the movement)
- 2 entries for leaving a comment that answers the question “What are your dreams for your family and how does life insurance factor into fulfilling those dreams?”
- 1 vote for Tweeting about movement (you can do this daily)
How about that for choices? See…I told you it would be easy. Pick a way {or do them all} and you will be entered to win the iPad, Google Nexus, Amazon Kindle, Dr. Dre Beats Pro, AND $100 Amazon gift card for music.
The more you do the better your chances are to win. To make it EVEN easier…here’s all we need to you to answer {not required, but just a suggestion to get your wheels spinning}!
You are welcome to share personal stories or your thoughts on life insurance…basically as long as the post TALKS about life insurance in some way? It counts!
Since this movement is taking place on Wednesday, August 22nd, the next Stop & Smell the Roses day I am going to be asking all my S&STR’s vloggers to participate {if you want…it’s not required}.
You can still vlog about whatever is making you happy, but I would LOVE if you would instead share your thoughts on why you think life insurance is important!
AND, just because I like to switch things up a little…anyone who blogs or vlogs about life insurance on Wednesday can link up with us! Yes, that is right…you do not have to vlog to link up to S&STR. You can {this week only} WRITE or VLOG about what is making you happy OR life insurance!!!
Please let me know if you will be participating in this awesome movement by commenting below! So far we have 75+ bloggers on board and we would love to keep that number growing!
You can find the FULL details on the movement over at Good Financial Cents.
Thank you all so much for your support! I already know From Mrs to Mama and Keeping Up With Kennedy have committed!
Who else is in? Don’t make me beg!

We’ve had insurance ever since we were married and increased it significantly after having children….definitely a must do! and a living trust too 🙂

I don’t have life insurance!! EEeK!
I moved to the US form England, we don’t have life insurance there {or if we do, no one told me!}
I just thought life insurance was something your mother-in-law nagged you about. Or a motive for murder …… watching too many crime documentaries? probably.
Maybe i’ll google this topic.

First off – love the pictures of P! Too cute! We have had life insurance (me personally) since I was a teen. My parents took out a policy on us. Always got the ones work offered. When we were newly married decided to make it serious (found out a week later we were preggo with K). Both of us have hefty ones, Luke has one through work and both boys have them. Supper important. I hear too many times of people that don’t have them. We have a relative that passed in April that didn’t have medical or life insurance. Talk about headache’s for family. Good luck on his new movement!

Hey Mandy – I can attest to the importance of it. When I was 45 with two kids ages 11 and 16, my husband passed away. If you need a testimonial, let me know. xoxo

@ Sandra
First off, I’m so sorry to hear this!
If you’re interested in sharing some details for the movement, I would definitely be interested in sharing your testimonial so that others can learn.
Thanks so much for offering.

Jeff – I’ll email to your contact info on your blog page. Glad to do this.

Mandy I’m in. We are actually going to be taking out a life insurance policy soon. This will be a great way for me to learn about what to expect when we do get it.

I would love to participate in this subject. We haven’t even thought about life insurance yet, and we need to consider we have an almost 2 year old! Can’t wait!
