How on earth is it June already? I am serious.
I haven’t even planned a family vacation yet for this summer. Apparently I need to get on that or summer is going to be over. Now I just need to figure out where we should go. Hmmmm……
Don’t I do this every year?
As you’ll notice in my vlog…I got cut short by the lawn service boys…so this week’s vlog is impromptu and quick. I’ll try to recap more of the “happy” moments in the video comment section. 🙂
Video Comments:
- It was sunny so forgive the squinting.
- I can raise kids. But plants? I kill plants. So the fact that you see flowers blooming and LIVING…a miracle my friends. A miracle. Check back in July…as they may be dead by then.
- Gluten-free is something we are “exploring”. I have already noticed a huge difference in how I feel when I cut out gluten. And for some odd reason…even fountain coke is not sounding good to me these days. I know fountain coke has nothing to do with gluten free, but still…all this eating healthy must be messing with my mind. <<ahem>>
I’m really excited to share with you a recipe for gluten free pizza that I made last week! Stay tuned…
- Last month I mentioned that it was SJ’s 2nd birthday and that his party would be “low key”. Just wanted to update y’all that I stuck to my plan. Aren’t ya proud? No Pinterest worthy party pics to share, but the boy had the time of his life. And that’s what it was all about anyway. Huge thanks to all his friends that joined us!
- Dollars and Roses income report is live {in case you are a blog dorky like me and get nosey about how people make money blogging}. House of Rose #’s declined some this month, but we made it up in other areas. Plus, we started adding our expenses in to the report too so you can see how much we have to spend to keep these blogs a runnin’. It ain’t cheap.
I love working with the hubs…but sometimes the competition gets a little crazy. You’ll have to click HERE to see more of the Husband vs Wife showdown that’s going on. I guess I need to step up my game for next month. Although, just to set the record straight…I demolished him in April.
I think he failed to mention that.
I hope y’all are having a wonderful start to your summer! If you need me? I might be unavailable…

I can’t keep plants alive either. I don’t even try anymore. I love your hair like that. Looks super cute! I’ve contemplated trying a gluten free diet. We’ll see. Happy summer!

Oh man I meant to do a vlog and link up this month! Hopefully I can get one done, but if not then I will just make sure to do one next month! I miss doing these with you ladies and always watch them when you guys post them!!!

Yay! I got to link up my first vlog! Thanks for being so transparent on the income reports – I’m nosy too, and it helps me see where my little blog might be one of these days if I keep working at it.

You should read “It Starts with Food”! I read it the other day, and I’m kind of obsessed with it now and recommending it to everyone…haha. Although I still haven’t implemented any of the suggestions…
I’m so jealous of you being able to film outside. I’m ready for it to quit raining here so I can get some pool time! Summer is welcome to start any time now….

Good luck with your plants! I have absolutely no advice to give you… lol.
You have people that mow your lawn – I am jealous! Do they pull weeds too?
Michelle says
I kill all plants. It is sad.

I’m totally there with ya, Mandy! Try as I might and as much as I love beautiful flowers, I just can’t seem to keep them alive for long. Sad times. Oh, and you talking about going gluten-free made me laugh thinking about those sandwiches at BlissDom. Haha! I bet your pizza was much better. 😉

I hear you on the plants! My mom bought me a cute little African Violet for my office and I have pretty much killed it in a week and a half 🙁 I am trying to rehab it with miracle grow…I am not very optimistic

I love your hair! My sister in law is gluten free and has been for almost two years. She feels so much better. Have you ever been to the Farmer’s Market in the parking lot next to Murdale in Carbondale? My aunt and uncle are vendors there and they have all sorts of vegetables. They are usually on the side closest to the Murdale shopping center. You should check them out! My aunt also has lots of flowers in the spring and early summer.

Hahaha… Oh Mandy, you crack me up! 🙂
I actually just found out that I’m allergic to gluten about a month or two ago. Hardest.Diet.Ever. I actually had Subway today and am now puking sick, so that’s awesome. PLEASE let me know if you find any awesome awesome recipes! I’m going to try out the pizza one for sure! 🙂
Didn’t get around to linking up this month, but still watching all the vlogs! 🙂

I have never kept a plant alive until now either! I have this plant that was my son’s science project like a year and a half ago! Honestly, though, it just causes me stress. One more thing to worry about… I feel like it’s staring at me, begging for water.
Anyway, great vlog this month! Don’t you ADORE this time of year? Here in southwest Missouri it’s been so fabulous lately!
Have a happy summer, and thanks for hosting the link up!

Hey, sorry, I forgot to ask my question. (Too busy worrying about plants, I guess.) Where do you get the music you put behind your videos? I would love to add music, but don’t know anything about legal issues.
Thanks!

Going GF might be the BEST decision you ever make! My husband, myself, and our 5-month-old (who doesn’t know it yet) are gluten-free vegans. We’ve never felt better. You MUST check out the BabyCakes NYC cookbooks for the BEST GF desserts on the planet! They also make these super convenient cake mixes available on their website! BABYCAKESNYC.com.
