With $1,000 I would start an emergency fund for my family.
We would definitely put this toward buying a used car for our family! Ours finally kicked the bucket four months ago. My husband makes a ten-mile commute to work every morning, either by bus or by bike, which takes a total of three extra hours that he is not at home with us. I’m a mom of two under five, and we’ve been riding the bus for four months now… grocery shopping is particularly challenging. It’s getting a little old!

I would use it towards our house projects.
I’d use the money to pay for my trip to Florida to see my family for Christmas this year!
I would give it to my sister to pay for my nephew’s tonsillectomy; they don’t have insurance and can’t afford it yet. Meanwhile, the poor guy has strep about once a month!

What a great giveaway to make this time of year even better! I would put this $1000 towards Christmas presents, more Christmas decorations for my new home (because you can never have enough) and also as a donation to people that arent as lucky as me during this most wonderful time of year 🙂
I cannot even tell you how much this would help our family. Things are tough around here, really tough, and we’re not sure what our kiddos will have to open this year. This would definitely give them the Christmas they deserve.
