Ahem.
Hey, laundry is not my favorite past-time. If you have boys then you know that…clothes…are optional until you are five.
I try to keep my house fairly picked up and clean. You know, just in case you were to pop in and say hello. But, my kids? I can’t always promise you they are “visitor ready”. In fact, they will most likely need 3 minutes to throw on some pants.

We built our home in 2011 and ever since…I’ve had my dad working on a constant Pinterest project.
Lucky for us, he is free labor. I wouldn’t have been able to do HALF of the stuff in our home if it weren’t for his help.

The original design of our master bedroom was dark and dreary. I have lightened things up a bit since then.
It went from dark to light… see details for the white and bright here.
And then we got a new bed to go with the new bright white and it looks even brighter! LOL!

The latest big boy room is the sports themed bunk bed room.
The boys play musical beds so you never know which kid will be sleeping where. Haha! The other boys bedroom we have is set up to be a shared room as well.

Love all your photos! House looks amazing! Quick question, do you think I could paint the tray ceiling in our master bedroom as well as an accent wall? Or should I pick one or the other? Can’t decide what to do and would love your opinion!

Hi! I just had a quick question about your Kitchenaid microwave oven combo! I just purchased the SAME one for my mom for her birthday along with new appliances for her kitchen. On her’s even after then end of the time on the microwave (without running convection) the microwave will continue to run until you shut it off. Does yours do that? It seems like a total waste of energy to us.
Only if it runs for over 4 minutes…then it runs after in “cool down” mode.
I didn’t read through all of the comments, so I apologize if you’ve had to answer this already. I am looking for chairs like your parsons chair in your dining room to recover. Where did you get yours and how much were they?
I actually bought them at a local furniture store 10+ yrs ago and I have tried to find out more info on them, but it’s been so long that the exact ones aren’t sold anymore. You can find similar ones at Ballard Designs or HomeDecorators.com.

I love your sons toddler to big boy room!! I have been trying to figure out what colour of green and what colour would go with green without being too wild or too baby, you found a perfect match! I am unsure on the chalk board, I think my kids will just end up drawing on every wall!

Haha! I will say this…my 2 yr old has already taken crayons to the opposite wall. It is quite hard to teach, “Yes you can write on this wall…but not this one.” LOL!

Great decorating! So beautiful. We are remodeling the whole house so it feels like we are constantly under construction. And you do it with two little ones which is a job in itself! We are doing our daughter’s playroom and I love the bookshelf with the cubbies. Can you tell me where you got it?

I am wondering how you keep your house so clean with children! Beautiful home and childrens rooms! Just moved into a townhome, and decorating gets tricky since none of it can be permanent. Hmmmm…I wish I could find the carpet info, but I looked and it’s not in my home binder. It was Shaw brand, but that is about all I remember. Sorry!
