Hey, laundry is not my favorite past-time. If you have boys then you know that…clothes…are optional until you are five.

I try to keep my house fairly picked up and clean. You know, just in case you were to pop in and say hello.  But, my kids? I can’t always promise you they are “visitor ready”. In fact, they will most likely need 3 minutes to throw on some pants.

We built our home in 2011 and ever since…I’ve had my dad working on a constant Pinterest project.

Lucky for us, he is free labor. I wouldn’t have been able to do HALF of the stuff in our home if it weren’t for his help.

  18. I must say you have a very beautiful HOME (notice I said home), I’ve been in my tiny house for over 7 years and I have yet to make it my home. I love your colors, stencil, decor etc. You have very good taste.

  29. My goodness! I love your home! Probably because it looks sooo much like mine. Same cabinets, same crown moldings, same colors on the walls, same, same, same right down to the 10 ft ceilings and the gold leafed letter (except mine is an S!) Your picture arrangements are much more interesting than mine though so I’ll be stealing that, thank you! I have always been complimented on my home now I know why! Your picture’s make me feel so fancy! Thanks!

  32. I have any open floor plan my living room, kitchen, dining room, and a hallway all kinda runs together. I really like how you did a focal wall in your dining room. Any suggestions on color do I use the same color throughout or switch it out with a focal wall. Literally the walls all run together and connect.

    • I shop mostly online and do not buy anything without a coupon code. I like RugsUSA.com because they have tons of great sales and online coupons. E-bay is another good place or I use Craigslist a ton for furniture makeovers. As far as local stores, I shop at Hobby Lobby when things are 50% off!

  37. Your home is beautiful!!!mmWe have been debating hardwood or wall to wall carpet in our bedrooms and I love the carpet color you have. It’s warm and cozy but goes great with greys in all of your rooms. Do you know the manufacturer and color?

  48. Where can you find the elephant nursery stuff? I am sure they won’t have the exact same thing but if I could find something similar! We love elephants and that is gorgeous and I like the way the elephants look.
