HUGE THANKS to my BF Nina and my mama for throwing a great party for Bentley!
I know a lot of you weren’t sure what a “sip & see” was.
Don’t worry. At first, I didn’t know either.
A Sip and See is basically a casual type of baby shower that’s held AFTER baby arrives instead of before. Friends and family are invited to drop by “open house style” within a certain time frame to meet the baby (see) and enjoy light food & drinks (sip) .
When Nina explained to me what it was…I loved the idea! I didn’t really need a second shower since I was having another boy…so the “sip & see” was a perfect way to celebrate the arrival of baby Bents!
We had lots of great snacks…
…and the cookies and cupcakes were to die for!
What’s a “sip & see” without champagne?? DUH! Even though…I didn’t indulge…because of course then I would have to do the whole “pump and dump” thing. And we all know that breast milk is just way to precious to dump! I am pretty sure everyone else enjoyed the champagne.
Here are my two party throwers.
Wait. Is party throwers even a real phrase? O-well. It is now.
I think J even enjoyed himself at the party. Or maybe it was the champagne he was enjoying?
Probably.
But, nonetheless, I KNOW Gma Lilly enjoyed herself.
Here’s the best part about the whole dang party….I didn’t get one picture of mr. bents.
True story.
What kind of mom am I? I have over 4 pictures with me in them…and none of lil man. How terrible!
Luckily, since B’s has been in town (LOVE MY B’S TO DEATH), I was snapping pics the day before. Here is B’s holding Bentley!
He is getting to be soooo big. And by big I mean huge. But who doesn’t love a fat baby, right?
THANKS to everyone who stopped by today to see my chubby baby! And by chubby I mean healthy. ahem.

We are having a Sip & See for my daughter who will be born next week too. I love the idea of it, especially for 2nd or 3rd children. We just really didn’t need much stuff but everyone kept asking if I was having a shower. So my sister-in-law decided to do a Sip & See & I can’t wait! Your party looks like lots of fun! I love the center pieces. And Bentley is adorable!
I’m a new follower by the way! 🙂

Very cute. The house looks great. I love the Bow Trees. I love me some Verdi. We served that at our wedding, and you wouldn’t believe that people still come up to my parents and talk about the champagne like its expensive, French champagne…love it. Congrats again!
