Hey all! It’s Stop & Smell the Roses Wednesday. I can’t believe that we only have 3 more link ups THIS year and then it’s going to be 2013. Crazy pants!
I am planning to continue the link up for next year as well, but if you have any suggestions on how to make it better or how to get MORE people excited about vlogging please comment and let me know.
If you are new here and completely confused…check out my vlogging page. ๐
All you need to do is film a short video and tell us what you are thankful for or what is making you smile lately. Then link up here!
Happy Halloween! I am excited about taking the boys trick-or-treating tonight. I am not excited about all the candy they think they will get to eat.
Also, I mentioned that I am hosting a Thirty-One party tomorrow night. If you are interested in purchasing any new thirty-one products just click here. You can shop online via my party! Just click “Place an Order” and then you will see the link to my party.
ย Here is the schedule for the link up going forward!
Make sure and click “CONTINUE” to view the vlogs that have linked up. If you were wondering why I do it that way? It’s because “In-Linkz” can make your site load slow if you keep it on the homepage. By having the click-through…it doesn’t slow down my site. Just a quick little tip if you are using the In-Linkz tool. ๐

Happy Halloween! Good for you that you have decided to eat better. I started eating better earlier this year and John would not do it with me. But over the summer his blood test came back not so great. So we’ve been on the healthy train as a family for a few months now. We all look and feel so much better! Ha! I’m “loving” the outtake at the end of your vlog!

I’m always so curious to see how much better I will feel if I just change my diet! Do feel like you have more energy now?
Jen says
Yes definitely more energy! It used to be hard for me to get out of bed in the morning. Not anymore. But I also started taking bee pollen about two months ago. I know that’s part of my energy too.

Have a great Halloween with your family! I’m excited to pass out candy tonight…right AFTER I video tape my Stop and Smell the Roses video which I didn’t get around to last night! ๐
You should definitley make sure to blog alot about your family getting healthier to help motivate the rest of us (or just me). Healthy recipes and what not. I’m sure you guys will do great!

The bloopers at the end are seriously my favorite part of this video. Ha! And about the whole healthy eating as a family thing…I am SO WITH YOU!!! It was really just in this last week that I realized just how bad we’ve been eating lately. We have been busier than usual and doing a lot of take-out and making the kids PB&Js and apple slices like 3 nights in a row because it’s all they want to eat. We don’t push them to try new things as much as we should and because of that, Blake has become the worst eater ever. He likes like 3 things…and that’s it. We just need a total overhaul in the eating department and I am going to be posting more about that on my Fitness Fridays link-ups. Hopefully you will join in too as you guys make this transition!!
Happy Halloween friend!! Hope you have a great day with the boys!

Happy Halloween! I just started following your blog a couple weeks ago and I LOVE it. I agree with the health and fitness comments above-would love for you to share what you do for yourself and ways to get your kids to eat healthy too!
Ironic that we’re posting all this health food talk on the WORST candy day of the year?!?!

Happy Halloween!! Hope you guys have a fun night!! I’m really gonna try & make it to the thirty-one party tomorrow night!! I’m having Mandy withdrawals!! ๐

Please, please, please keep us updated about how you’re changing your family’s eating habits. I thought that once I became a SAHM, I’d start cooking gourmet, healthy meals every day/night. Umm…yeah, not so much. I can’t wait to get some ideas!
Mandy says
Girl, that’s exactly what I thought when I started working from home. But I have honestly cooked LESS now that I work from home. How is that possible?? LOL!
Laura says
Hooray for a great report card and feedback! I loved the bloopers at the end. I’m the same way. If my husband is around, there is no vlogging of any kind. ๐
Mandy says
I know, right?! I don’t understand how he can film in front of me no problem, but the second it’s my turn I start stuttering and get all nervous! LOL!
Angel Varney says
I thought I left this comment earlier-but I don’t see it so I’ll leave it twice! Mandy, would you do a fitness post about yourself soon?! I would love that! I think I’ve read that you do cross fit maybe?
Oh and tips for how you get your three little ones to eat healthy too!
Thanks!
Mandy says
Hey! I will work on that! Thanks for the idea!
Kenz says
LOL! The bloopers… You make me laugh so hard Mandy! I love the boys’ costumes and hope they had the best time tonight! Happy Halloween! ๐ Xoxoxo

Congrats on making the choice to eat healthy! We are a pretty healthy family, but it is not always easy! Jackson is 22 months old and has never eaten McDonald’s or frozen chicken nuggets. He is starting to become pickier but we just continue to offer healthy foods at every meal. The best thing I have read is that it can take 15-30 exposures to a food before kids decide they like it, so don’t give up! Just keep giving them vegetables at every meal and eventually they will eat them. Also, if you don’t have the “junk” in the house then you won’t be tempted to grab it in a hurry so just stick to your list at the store ๐ There are lots of fun blogs dedicated to making fun, healthy lunches that you can look at for tips too. Good luck!
