Let’s just say change is hard, but sometimes change is what propels you into the person you are meant to be, right?
It feels like so many changes are happening with me lately. The rebranding of our Dollars and Roses site to the new MARRIAGE MORE, my new blog design for House of Rose that’s been in the works for months (hopefully live next week – eeeek!), my fitness challenges – which I’m loving – are going strong and now the biggest change for me yet comes with news on the Happy Mommy Box front!
Natalie and I have decided to shift gears and say YES to the changes we feel God is wanting of us!
We are both wanting and needing to focus on expanding our families, with Nat’s baby due in October and our pending adoption.
We are ready to simplify the way we use our online platform to encourage moms.
Natalie and I will no longer be running Happy Mommy Box.
I know… it’s the end of an amazing 2 years, but the beginning of an amazing future to come!
We’re not sad at all….more excited for the changes coming for both of us!
I truly believe that God aligned our hearts for this move and change. It wasn’t something just ONE of us felt, it was something BOTH of us felt. At the same time.
If that’s not God working then I don’t know what is.
For the next few weeks you will still be able to grab up some of our shop items! We have some AMAZING sales lined up so follow us on social media and don’t miss out!
If you’ve been eyeing a new tumbler or happy mommy tank…now is the time to grab one up! Or maybe you’ve been wanting to gift a friend one of our new mom boxes, this is your chance!
USE CODE: HAPPYMOMMY and get 30% off your order!
Code Expires July 16th. This will be the BEST discount we will be offering, but not the last.
We know change can be hard, but we have been feeling a shift over the past year and it wasn’t until this past month that we felt completely brave in this decision and wanted to make the announcement.
Natalie and I adore this community and we both can see the amazing potential HAPPY MOMMY BOX has, but it would take more employees, time and effort and we aren’t willing to sacrifice that time away from our family in this season of our lives.
At first, we weren’t sure if that was reason enough to stop…especially with the amazing Celebrate Motherhood Retreat we just hosted and how popular the shop items have been. But, at the end of the day, that reason – our families, our husbands, our children – is THE BEST reason.
Sacrificing time with our little ones during this stage of life feels like I am robbing myself of enjoying them as little people. I don’t ever want to regret these moments. I want to look back and say, “Yes, I put my kids above my community.”
We decided it was time to focus on what really matters in our work and the best way we can make an impact with the time and talents we were given. We still desire to encourage and reach women, but at the same time, we want to stay focused on our mission and role as mothers.
We both have exciting things we have been dreaming about and working on separately and it feels refreshing to know that we don’t have to do it all. That we can say “no” to certain things so that our “yes” can be more focused on a few things…not a million.
A wise friend of ours, an incredible mama and business woman said earlier this year…
We couldn’t agree more.
It’s hard to say no to something that is thriving and wonderful. It’s hard to walk away from the brand that we spent so long cultivating. It’s hard to admit that we don’t have super-human powers to be able to do it all with grace. It’s hard… all of it.
Saying no is hard. I’ve always been terrible at it.
But most importantly, it’s hard to hear Jesus when your plate is so “full”.
The Celebrate Motherhood Retreat will continue on and Nat will be taking that over. She is a rockstar event planner y’all.
Skills for days I tell ya!
I will of course, be supporting it 100% and will most likely be showing up at every one that I can. Hehe!
But, HAPPY MOMMY BOX will not be the focus of our work. We can’t wait to share more on the exciting changes and the boldness that God is asking us to step out in.
Thank you for all the love and support over these last few years. It has been nothing short of amazing and I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything in the world.
Not only did I gain a best friend in Natalie, but I gained so many new friends through this community.
We are excited for the next chapter in our lives!

It takes such strong faith to walk away from something good for something BETTER. I truly pray God blesses you both in this season of your lives, and thank you for being such an inspiration for so many of us! <3

So sad to hear about this but SO SO happy to hear that you guys are making this change for your families. I often have to remind myself to say no to certain things in order to put my family first. Its not always easy but it usually is the best decision. Hopefully I can make it one of these times to the Celebrate Motherhood Retreat. You both are amazing and inspiring people!

Love that you two are putting first things first and focusing on what you feel is best for your families during this season. You gave Happy Mommy Box a great go and it was successful in lots of ways while it was available!
Hugs and love to you both. XO
