Just a little over a year ago {November 2011} I quit my full time job as a Retirement Coordinator for a healthcare corporation to blog.
I didn’t “technically” quit so I could blog here…on House of Rose. Nope. I quit so I could help my husband with his personal finance blog and his other online businesses.
I’ve been blogging on and off here since 2008; however, along the way I found more of a passion for House of Rose. I started realizing that I love to decorate and attempt DIY projects, I love to try new recipes {gasp} and vlog, I have a passion for adoption and sharing our heart on our newest journey of life, plus so much more! I never imagined so many of you would encourage me and support me along the way.
There are have been days when I have struggled with “fitting in” in this big ole’ blog world. Have you seen the amount of blogs out there these days? It’s a competitive world. But, once I got passed the “her blog is cooler than mine”….I realized that it doesn’t matter what anyone else writes. Or blogs. Or shares. This blog is about me and my life. My views. My passions. My love.
A place where I can open up about so many things and {for the most part} not be judged. I just want to give you all a huge virtual HUG and say thank you for supporting me. For praying for me. For loving on me. I read every comment that is left here and I could not be more grateful for YOU ALL!
I remember leaving Blissdom last year {my very first blog conference} with this new drive and desire to grow my blog. To have a voice. To be heard. I truly never thought that I could go from making $100 per month to almost $2,000 {November Income Report via Dollars and Roses} doing something that I love.
Again, THANK YOU!

Your house is so pretty, and you’re so brave with white dining chairs and three boys. We still have hand me down dining room furniture. It’s not the prettiest, but it does the job, and I don’t mind when stuff inevitably get spilled and smeared 🙂
